Prayer Request for the Week 

Each Monday at 6:30pm, the Prayer Team at First United enters the church sanctuary to pray for the concerns of the people. We urge you to join us in praying for the prayer listing below. If you would like to submit a prayer request, please submit your request in the prayer request box or send it by email to FirstUnitedPresbyterianChurch@hotmail.com
 
Individual names are only used when permission to do so is given by the requestor, otherwise, ones personal identity is not disclosed.

for the week

November 2, 2009 – November 8, 2009

 

 

*         Pray for Pastor Woodson and all clergy…for strength, encouragement, steadfastness and resolve in their ministerial walk. Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Praise Report: Thank God for adult children, who are learning to be independent, who heed the guidance of their parents!

Thanks be to God!

 

*         Pray for Family and Friends Sunday at First United…that the Lord God would show up and show out.

 Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for all who go out to the polls to vote on Tuesday…that victory goes to the candidate of God’s choosing.

Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for a lady with lupus and her mother who helps care for her..pray for the mother’s faith that God is with her.

 Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for a young lady with nerve damage in her arm…praying for her physical healing.

 Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for a young lady that has trouble sleeping peacefully…pray that she keeps her mind on God who promises to keep her mind in perfect peace.

Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Praise Report: Thank God for catching a member who fell at church on Sunday.

Thanks be to God!

 

*         Pray for a lady undergoing treatment for cancer…pray that the Lord will strengthen her physical body and encourage her heart.

Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for caregivers…especially a lady who is taking care of her aunt who is unappreciative of her efforts…pray that the Lord will strength the niece and sensitize the heart of the aunt.

Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for Presbyterian Women Fall Gathering which is being held at First United on November 7th…pray that the Lord will bless each attendee with an outpouring of His Spirit.

 Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for two persons that feel a calling from the Lord to be a deacon to answer with “Here I am, Lord…send me”.

 Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for the choir of First United…that they be obedient as God moves them to minister, that they return from the summer with enhanced dedication and take the ministry of music with the utmost in seriousness.

Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for God to continue to strengthen our bible study and Sunday School that we may be better equipped to do His will.

 Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for seasoned citizens in this church family…that they continue to share their wisdom with all of us and that it is received with love.

Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray that members will show renewed support for the ministries of First United, especially the leaders. Pray that church leaders will be open to the will of God moving in our congregation.

Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for travelling mercies for all those travelling…

Lord in your mercy!

 

*         Pray for President Obama and other world, state and local leaders…that they listen for and recognize the voice of God, keep God as the focal point of their decision making and be obedient to the will of God.

Lord in your mercy!
